For more then 15 years I have breed blue coloured British Shorthair. I was introduced to this particular breed at a catshow where I instantly realized that it was the British which appealed to me. The British calm and sociable nature plus its "Teddy Bear" look settled the case. It also means a lot to me that it is a healthy and strong breed. I think the blue colour is very beautiful - and I have chosen to focus on this colour.
In the past 15 years I have become increasingly interested in the British Shorthair breeding. It gives me many positive experiences both in the my everyday life and also through the contact to other breeders. Is is lovely to share a mutual interest. It is exciting to see other lovely cats and talk to other catowners.
Catwalks British Shorthair is a small breeding and I only breed 2 litters a year. It is most important to me to breed "cuddlesafe" and affectionate kittens with a balanced temper. I only breed the original blue colour. I own 6 females : Lovely, Perfect, Misty, Girli, Nova and Diva and 4 males : Xiro and Dudo (co-owned with www.catdeluxe.dk) and Breitling + Ashton (both co-owned with www.coolbear.dk).
It is interesting to follow the kittens and see them develope until they leave for their new home. I enjoy all the positive feedback I receive from the new kittens owner - it is a lot of fun.
I think that the breeding of the British Shorthair is a very exciting and stimulating hobby.

Both Xiro og Perfect are now Gr.Int.Ch. after the show in Vejen on the 16th/17th of January 2010. Xiro is also TICA DGC on his first TICA show in only one day :-)

On the 30th of November I attended a show in Billund with my male Xiro og my young girl Girli. Xiro is now Int.Ch. Also he got BIV + NOM at the show. Girli got EX1 + BIV + BIS class 6-10 months. My young male Dudo got EX1 in kitten class. Girli at Best in Show with judge Mira Fonsén :
On the 23th of November I attended a show in Flensburg, Germany - and went home with an Int.Ch.: Perfect - she also got BOX :-) My male Xiro got CACIB + NOM and my young girl Girli got EX1 + BIV + NOM in class 6-10 months. A proud owner with Perfect upon her winning :

On the 18th of October I attended a show in Kolding. Xiro got his first CACIB + BIV + NOM. My young female Girli got EX2 and her sister Daisy (Catwalks Kiss from A Rose) got EX1 + BIV + NOM in class 6-10 months - congratulations to her owners Maj-Britt and Ingé. My new young male Dudo got EX1 in class 3-6 months.

Catwalks Overall Lovely attended her 2.show on the 5th of January in Nyborg and she was BIV and up for nomination. Catwalks Just Perfect got her 2.CACIB and she was nominated for BIS. My male Xiro Lovely Panther got his 1.CAC and was also up for nomination.
